About Us
Founded in 2008, Design Auburn, LLC is a full service design and marketing firm located in Auburn, AL which is made up of a partnership between Troy Hahn, John Hartley, and Michael Stone. These three partners each bring a unique combination of experience, knowledge, and talents to create a formidable team.
Troy
Hahn currently serves as the IT Specialist for the Auburn University Department
of Fisheries and Allied Aquaculture. In this role as an army of one, Troy
has accumulated experience in a wide range of related areas from web and
RIA development to video conferencing and distance education development
to developing marketing materials for student recruiting. Troy's academic
background is in Management Information Systems and is currently pursuing
a Ph.D. focusing on distance education technology. Troy also serves as the
primary contact for Adobe Connect video conferencing software for the entire
university and has taught classes through Auburn University's Instructional
Media Group on using this software for conducting classes online.
John Hartley has over fifteen years of experience in graphic design and
marketing communications. More than fourteen of those years have been in
professional web and multimedia design, development, and management. He has
worked in corporate advertising, print production, broadcast television,
and for the last twelve plus years has served as the webmaster of the Alabama
Cooperative Extension System and an IT Specialist with ACES/Ag IT supporting
ACES, AAES, and the AU College of Agriculture. John also holds Adobe software
certification and serves as the manager of Auburn’s Adobe Software Users
Group, AMMUG.org.
Michael Stone has a background in Computer Science Engineering and currently serves as the webmaster of the Auburn University College of Engineering. Michael has extensive experience in LAMP based (Linux/UNIX, Apache Server, MySQL database, PHP scripting) server management and database application development for RIAs as well as being a CSS guru.
